Public Association Journalists implements the project in Kyrgyzstan. It was established as a journalists’ initiative on 24 November, 1998, in Bishkek. Organization’s staff include 160 people.

Head of the association is Mambetaliyev Kuban.

Journalists’ main task is to protect freedom of expression and press, help journalists and media outlets carry out the media monitoring.

The reporters’ network includes journalists, working in 7 regional centers (Osh, Zhalalabat, Batken, Naryn, Talas, Karakol and Tokmok) and 8 journalists working in Bishkek, the capital, and volunteers around the country.
